Basket Weave Easter Card

Stampin' Up! ® Independent Demonstrator Ellen Vargo

Hello!

Easter will be here before we can blink, so now is the perfect time to get started on some Easter cards for the special people in your life.  Today I'm using the new Blossoming Basket Bundle from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, which you can earn for FREE with a $100 purchase between now and March 31, 2018.

I'm also participating in a big Easter Blog Hop with the Remarkable Stampers Team.  There is a list of all the participants at the bottom of the post - be sure to check out all the inspiring projects!

The bundle comes with the Basket Weave Dynamic Texture embossing folder, and the Blossoming Basket stamp set - a perfect duo!  I decided to alter the basket image, which has flowers in it, so it would hold Easter eggs.  I just trimmed around the rim of the basket, and cut the handle off so I could re-attach it behind the eggs.  A totally new look with just a few scissor snips!

I colored the basket with my aqua brush and two shades of brown ink.  The eggs were die cut with the smallest of the Layering Oval Framelits.  I added some leafy sprigs (with some wink of stella glitter brush on top) and background stamping on the eggs from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp and die bundle, and some iridescent sequins.  The Happy Easter greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which is a *must have* for every new stamper - it covers practically every occasion you could imagine!

For more inspiration, please visit all the designers in today's blog hop!
